About Me
My name is Jeff Zimmerlin. I am a 24 year old television director, producer, and freelance web developer.
I just recently graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in television, film, and new media production.
While attending SDSU, I worked for a short time as a technician at KNSD-TV, shadowed an Emmy award winning newscast director as part of a first of its kind directing internship at KFMB-TV, interned at internet television leader Revision3, served as a teaching assistant in five classes, developed the first completely web-based newsroom computer system called Rundown Creator, led several major projects from start to completion in the journalism department, and won an award for excellence in television directing.
Prior to attending SDSU, I worked as a newscast director at KSBY-TV, the NBC affiliate in San Luis Obispo, California. There, I directed fast-paced weekday and weekend newscasts on a daily basis for three years until moving away to San Diego to attend SDSU.
Now that I have a degree in hand, I am searching for a part-time or full-time job producing or directing live television, preferably in the Los Angeles area, and continue to develop Rundown Creator in my spare time.
